i think i’m a bit old for ‘best friend’. I feel like the terms puts a lot of strain on a relationship between two people. I’ve found that I’d much rather say ‘one of my best friends’ because when I don’t put them in the ‘best friend’ bracket it’s actually much easier to come to trust and love that person without having to be like ‘they are my best friend!!!11!1!’ ‘Best friends’ tend to let you down. I have some fantastic very close friends (and some amazing ones I’m not even THAT close to) and they know who they are and how I feel about them.
